The popular PlayStation 3 action adventure game will be officially coming to you in a big screen under the title of the first series of the game, Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune. The director? It’s David O. Rusell (again) who according to various of reports has signed a deal to write and direct the adaption based on the PS3 video game.
The Hollywood Reporter has published a news of Russell is returning in action on the Uncharted movie project for Columbia Pictures after being attached early on, then he reportedly dropping out of consideration. That back and forth status seems inline with Russell’s sometimes combative history. I hope it doesn’t affect this huge project which means a lot to many of Uncharted PS3 video game fans.
The 52 year old director has perhaps made his name known through his previous works such as the Three Kings, Flirting With Disaster and I ♥ Huckabees. His next movie, The Fighter, is going to hit the cinemas this year, starring Christian Bale and Mark Wahlberg.
