The owner of DiscoAzul as well as the sponsor of EOL forum is kind of enough to give us all a preview of what we can expect in the next Backup Manager from the original team who brought you the PS Jailbreak exploit. Yes, the Backup Manager 1.1 from the PS Jailbreak team. It is not confirmed if what xaco have gives us are the only small bits of what Backup Manager 1.1 is really are, he did not stated clearly about that (I don’t read Spanish). But, let’s us see what xaco has to offer after he got a hand of the Backup Manager 1.1!
I’m trying the new Backup Manager v1.1 now.
Keep you informed with new functionalities.
Soon more information.
– Allows you to play without disc.
– Works with clones.
– Ripped games do not work with 1.0. We must re-do the ripping to v1.1
– Faster read (rip).
PS: I’m watching the game compatibility has increased significantly. At the moment I work all. Curious
Another trustworthy people have confirmed about the Backup Manager working with all the hardwares that are compatible with the PS Jailbreak exploit (e.g. PSGroove, PSFreedom). So, it’s another step in direction.
What are we all eagerly waiting though is the NTFS support as well as other things such as the PSX, PS2 compatibility, MKV support etc that have been stated by various of reports in the internet. Let me say it clearly, it was reports. We are not pretty sure about that as it is not officially came from the PSJailbreak team themselves as they did not state the exact features of the Backup Manager 1.1 in their official website.
Another thing, as xaco has stated that we must do the re-ripping since it is does not work with the older Backup Manager 1.0. It has caused an uproar in the internet over that issue. Well, i think they are exaggerated about this. We can just backup our original games that are incompatible with the Backup Manager 1.0 to the new Backup Manager 1.1, isn’t that will solve the problem?
Oh ya, xaco is the founder of DiscoAzul and the store sells PS Jailbreak. So, if this is an attempt to market his stocks or not, we might see it probably next week for the official release of Backup Manager 1.1 as promised from the PS Jailbreak team in their website. Until then, let’s hope that with everything that are happening at the moment in the scene, the release of the new Backup Manager is really come true.
